Nancy Zangari is a qualified Special Education Teacher and Special Education Resource Consultant with more than 30 years of experience.
In addition to completing two B.As: one majoring in English and Psychology; the second B.A. is in Education. She has her specialist in Specialist Education and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
Her educational experiences have provided her with a strong basis of knowledge applicable to the field of academic programming in and out of the classroom for children with special needs; her work as a Special Education Consultant for an Ontario school board, has given her an extensive understanding of the Ministry of Education rules and regulations as they pertain to special education. She has provided support to parents in understanding the Individual Education Plan (IEP) and the Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) process. In addition, Nancy is an advocate for both students and parents in helping them to navigate the educational system.
Therapists that work with SCYS have varying backgrounds including ECE’s, CYW’s DSW, SSW, B.A’s, etc. They have 1 or more years of experience in various settings working with children & youth with various disabilities, disorders & are trained in providing programming based on the principals of ABA.
Our respite workers are caring, committed and experienced care givers, providing families with support and understanding of their goals. They have 1 or more years of experience in providing support to families with children diagnosed with various disabilities.
